For food-enthusiasts like me, Moveable Feast is a cholesterol heaven. Walking into this event is like stepping in an alternate universe filled with psychedelic tunes and unregrettable calories.
April 18 evening, my lovely grandma and I attended a Moveable Feast in San Jose, by Eastridge Mall. For those that don't know, Moveable Feast is an organized event filled with food and music; food trucks come from all over the Bay Area to sell their hand-prepped food. DJ's from local radio stations also sometimes come and craze things up a bit. It operates weekly or bi-weekly in some areas, so I recommend attending one in the near future!
When we first arrived, we were stunned by the many trucks to choose from, the many desirable dishes and poignant smells. My grandma and I eventually got soft tacos from Angelica’s Taqueria Taco Truck. Filled with fresh produce and served under 10 minutes: what's not to love? Plus, I mean, $5 tacos? Wait, scratch that. $5 delicious tacos? Sold. Angelica's won my heart.
From there, we then headed to Barnes and Nobles to enjoy some good reads for a bit. After thirty minutes or so, my grandma and I walked back only to find the crowd growing tremendously! Lines were at least 10 feet long— and no, I'm not exaggerating.
But it was time for Round 2! After a 15 minute wait, I finally ordered $6.50 garlic fries from Cluck It Up to share. Her adorable expression was the highlight of my night. She had never eaten garlic fries before! Our evening was well spent, fulfilled with live music, large crowds, and an abundance of food.
